Error 267 means a game's script kicked you from the server — but it's not always your fault. Here's everything you need to know and how to get back in the game.
Run through these before doing anything else.
| # | Fix | Why It Works | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Disable browser extensions or exploit tools | Anti-cheat kicks scripts it detects | Instant |
| 2 | Rejoin the game or use a different server | May have been a lag-triggered kick | Instant |
| 3 | Clear Roblox cache | Removes corrupted local data | 2 min |
| 4 | Reinstall Roblox client | Fixes corrupted installation | 10 min |
| 5 | Check if your account is banned in that game | Game bans trigger Error 267 | 5 min |
Error Code 267 in Roblox means "You were kicked from this game: [reason]" — the kick was initiated by a Lua script running inside the game, not by Roblox itself. The exact message reads something like: Disconnected: You were kicked from this game.
This is different from account bans or Roblox moderation — it's the game developer's anti-cheat, anti-exploit, or behavioural kick system that triggered the disconnect.
The most common cause. Exploit executors, speed hacks, or script injectors trigger the game's anti-cheat and you're kicked with Error 267.
If a game developer has banned your account directly, every attempt to join gives you Error 267 immediately.
Some games kick players who disconnect briefly or lag severely, interpreting it as a cheat or AFK violation.
Extensions that modify web page behaviour (ad blockers, script managers) can trigger detection when playing Roblox in browser mode.
Some games block VPN IP ranges. Connecting through a VPN may trigger an auto-kick on entry.
Rarely, the game itself has a broken kick script that fires for all players. Check the game's social media or community for known issues.
Uninstall any third-party Roblox tools, script executors, or mods. These violate Roblox's Terms of Service and will get you kicked (and eventually banned) from games that run anti-cheat.
On Windows: navigate to %localappdata%\Roblox\ and delete the cache folder. On Mac: go to ~/Library/Caches/com.roblox.robloxplayer.
Turn off any VPN service, then launch Roblox from the desktop app (not the browser). Disable or remove browser extensions if you do play in browser.
Uninstall Roblox fully, restart your PC, then download the fresh installer from roblox.com. This replaces any corrupted files that might be triggering false detection.
If you believe you were kicked by mistake, find the game's group or developer on Roblox and message them. If it's a game-level ban, only the developer can lift it — Roblox support cannot.
No. It's typically a game-specific kick or ban. You can join other games. If you're blocked from all games, check your account status on roblox.com.
Only to the game developer. Roblox support cannot reverse game-level bans set by developers through their own scripts.
Network lag, false positives from anti-cheat scripts, or a buggy game update can all cause this. Try rejoining after a few minutes or on a different server.
